Solar Energy! On beautiful Seabrook Island, nestled on the coast just south of Charleston, South Carolina, lies Camp St. Christopher It offers over 300 acres of beach, marsh and maritime forest and multiple facilities including meeting and conference centers, lodging, and worship centers. We’re excited about keeping you up-to-date on our progress and informing you about how this project was made possible. The process began last August when the State Energy Office put out information that there were going to be .9 million available in grants for alternative energy projects for non-profits. As soon as we found out, we immediately started getting in touch with local Charleston non-profit organizations to inform them about the opportunity. When St. Christopher responded about being interested, we setup a meeting for late September 2009 and went out to view the grounds and start planning. If you are tired of seeing high electricity bills the solution to the problem may be a lot easier than you might think. In order to save more money and continue to generate money for your home and family, take a look at how to build a generator. Within a couple of days you could have the right amount of electricity at little to no cost to you!

You might have seen these wind and sun generators at your local hardware store and think that simply purchasing one is going to solve all of your energy problems. The fact of the matter is, these built up generators will simply give you a headache and put a hold in your wallet. They can cost thousands of dollars as well as what it costs to install and update it!

Take a look around your back or side yard and make sure that you have enough room to build a generator. Often times people forget to think about the amount of space that they have available until they start the building process. Get out to your yard and make sure to take the right measurements. You will need ample space to build and put everything together.

There are hundreds of guides out there that will show you how to build a wide variety of generators. When you are looking around for these guides try looking for a generator kit for extra help. These kits usually have a lot of extra supplies that will help you make the best generator possible. Included in these kits are a nice, crisp set of instructions that will walk you through it all.

If you do not have the right tools then you will have a very hard time with your task. Use tools such as your hammer, screw drivers and possibly a saw or two. The guide that you buy will end up showing you everything that you need including all of the materials needed. All of the materials will be low in cost and should not cost you more than a couple hundred dollars at a time.

When you want to build a generator you do not have too much to do. You can save loads of time with a kit, or you can get started today and get everything that you need together within a day or so. After a month you will be able see a significantly lower utility bill.
